on Academic-Industrial Innovation

Building the future of Sino-Hungarian scientific and industrial cooperation

A platform bringing together leading universities, research institutes, industry and policymakers to establish long-term strategic partnerships in science, innovation and technology.

About the Symposium

The First Sino-Hungarian Symposium marks the beginning of a new chapter in scientific and technological cooperation between Hungary and China.

The symposium serves as the launching platform for the Sino-Hungarian Academic-Industrial Joint Research Center (SHAI) initiative, creating opportunities for universities, research organizations, industrial partners and government representatives to jointly shape future research and innovation activities.

The event focuses on establishing long-term collaborations, identifying common research priorities and creating an international ecosystem where education, science and industry work together to solve global challenges.

SHAI Vision

The Sino-Hungarian Academic-Industrial Joint Research Center (SHAI) is envisioned as a unique international research ecosystem that brings together academic excellence, industrial innovation, technology transfer, education, talent development, and intellectual property generation within a single collaborative framework.

Responding to the rapidly evolving global scientific and technological landscape, SHAI aims to create a strategic platform where universities, industrial partners, and governmental stakeholders work together to address major societal and industrial challenges. Initial priority areas include Advanced Materials, Molecular Medicine, Artificial Intelligence, Sustainable Manufacturing, Circular Economy, Smart Industry, and Digital Transformation.

By strengthening long-term cooperation between Hungary and China, SHAI seeks to become one of Europe’s leading hubs for interdisciplinary research, innovation, and academic-industrial collaboration.
